THE PRODUCERS

The region of Tarrazu, Costa Rica is world-renowned for the exceptional coffees grown there. Hidden in its westernmost slopes is a small micro-mill dubbed Agropecuario Hellen of the Mora family.  Focused solely on wild natural processed coffee - the family utilizes their wonderful plantations growing on the fertile and temperate lands of Paritilla to produce some of our favorite coffees year after year. To our knowledge, the family was one of the the earliest micro wet mill projects to push the boundary on natural process fermentations, risking whole harvests to take coffee to new heights. 

Hellen, William's daughter, is now the manager of the mill along with helping her dad with farm management. We love her work, and are thrilled to see a young woman continue the family's legacy of cultivating world class coffee.
